Male Sumatran Tiger at the South Lakes Animal Park in the Cumbrian Lake District.
Unfortunately I am unable to fully remove the bars of the enclosure from the photo.
My elements 4.0 is not loaded on my computer at the moment.
But in some ways it is fitting that the Tiger is shown in a captive setting.
This park does a lot of good work for the Sumatran Tiger cause and I think that they will soon release some tigers into the wild back in Sumatra.
I am not a fan of zoo's but this is one of the few that actually does make a real difference to the conservation of tigers.
I live my life in respect of all life on this planet and I love and revere the tiger above all other creatures.
I despair at the thought of a World where the only way that these great cats can survive is in cages.
But that is almost certainly their fate.
When the wild tigers are gone, we will all be so much poorer and so much more alone.
To save the tiger, we must save all the creatures and the habitat where they live, for the tiger cannot live alone.
He depends on other species to support his existence and they, in turn, depend upon others,.
This chain of dependency stretches from the tiger, at the top of the food chain, right across the spectrum of life in his domain, as far as the humble plants and the soil that they cannot exist without.
The tiger needs us to help put the balance right, and by God, we need the tiger,.
We need the tiger to remind us that ultimate beauty can exist in harmony with power and grace.
We need him to be out there, in the forest, unseen, we need that feeling of awe and wonder.
We need to feel the shivers run down our spine when we imagine ourselves out there in tiger country, in the dark forest, all alone, at his mercy.
I would be interested if anyone would like to do a workshop on this photo and actually remove the bars, just to see what it would turn out like.
Thanks for looking.
Regards

Ciao Roy, sarebbe stata una bellissima foto se ti fosse stato possibile impiegare un tempo di scatto pił breve e la messa a fuoco sulla tigre......

Hello Roy,
Wonderful capture of this big cat.I liked POV,expression on face, moment you caught and composition a lot.I'm afraid it's not easy to remove bars at PS.I see you choosed wide apperture but you should also use longer focal lenght and get closer to bars.
In this case these were also not possible, because tiger stayed near the bars:)Nevertheless great capture!
TFS...:-)
PS.I tried a ws,hope you'll like it:)
