you have a real knack for finding and capturing the essence of the ideal English countryside. This is a classic portrait of the rolling northern uplands, well composed and with beautiful lighting. Almost like a painting.

Hi Geof!

The title could also be "Dreamland": I just imagine how restful a hike through this marvellous and peaceful countryside must be.

From the technical point of view, I love the lighting management and the composition with the tree and the rocks at the right place. I just have a little doubt about the cloud above the tree: natural? postprocessing? Anyway, it doesn't really influence on the picture.

Very nice and tranquil place, as it seems like. Good composaition, maybe a bit of underexposure should give deeper feelings to it, but probably it's my taste only. Yes, the cloud "Heaven" mentioned is a little bit disturbing, but a little only. Overall I like the image.

Hello Geof,
What a wonderful landscape from the north of England! Excellent POV and I like the tree and the rocks in the foreground. The middle bit could be Dorset that I know well but not the beautiful contours of the hills in the distance. Lovely colours and a fine composition.
