Silver washed Fritillary

| Thanks to Vinster I am able to identify this as the Silver washed fritillary which fleetingly visited our garden to feed on the budleia bush, along with quite a few other species which I will try and submit at a later date. |

Hi Les,
This season is the season of butterflies, seems to me :) Another wonderful macro capture of the Silver Washed Fritillary. The asharpness and POV are well-controlled. The DOF is nicely managed. The blurred BG is just awesome. I like the textures on the wings of the butterfly. Great job!
thanks and regards,
Paras Bhalla
Hi Les,
Buddleia davidii is called Schmetterlingsstrauch (butterfly bush) in Germany. It really deserves this name. This one seems to be a rare catch. The photo is balanced and sharp. Here the effect of the zoom that makes the background smooth does a good job.
Cheers,
Mike

Hi les,
Really good composition with the budleia at an angle across the frame.
Nice colours and pleasing background.
I think you could possibly afford a slightly tighter crop to the left hand side.
cheers
Ewan
Hi Les,
Excellent photo with a very classic composition, well endowed with freshness and dynamism. Has benefited me greatly as the cross. Good level of detail and excellent color, with a good background.
TFS!
