[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These too over familiar Bloody Nose Beetles were trying their hardest, as were many others, to keep this species of beetle going on a recent walk. Although I got in a little close and personal they did not seem to mind the intrusion. I am not sure if it is the angle but the male seems slightly smaller. As in an earlier post it shows off their wonderful suckers that adorn their feet.

Reminds me of the movie...What was that title..pardon me a minute (*unseen by you) while I go to the IMDB.com..............still holding....ah here it is with Michael Keaton...Beetle Juice...feel free to substitute fluids with proper terminology!:-)

Hello Jai,
you show the male's 'face' including the antennae but, in particular, its forelegs in a nice way.
Also the surface of the female beetle is well presented.
Obviously, light conditions were not the best (f/3.5, 1/40) but you achieved acceptabje depth of field here.

Those feet are awesome aren't they! It's as if they're lined with gold :-)
Great macro of these mating Bloody Nose Beetles.
Very sharp and crisp.
