Hi Paul
A truly beautiful posting, the colours and hazy perspective created by the mist are excellent. The weather is better with you than up here in Cambridgeshire!

Hi Paul
So this is how you take landscapes with a zoom lens...splendid idea! See...this is pretty much the exact opposite of what i just posted: a bird picture with a wide-angle lens :))
Anyway, the colors here are simply outstanding and the way they blend into one-another is just amazing!
The trees look great, too in the FG (it was a little windy, wasn't it?) and the persepctive and #d effect they give to the composition is magnificent!
Bravo and TFS

Red sky in the morning is not a good sign, Paul, but you have turned it to your advantage! This is beautifully composed, it reminds me of scenes from 'Lord of the Rings'.
Great info about the New Forest! I have fond memories of visiting there when my son was at university at Portsmouth!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello Paul,
I have been to Bolderwood many times, usually around the middle of the day in the Summer(to see the Deer feeding) with my family. I have never seen it look this lovely. The colours and composition in your picture are brilliant and well worth an early start. Great work, Thanks for sharing, Lee

Hi Paul
I admire your dedication to taking shots. I got up early yesterday to take some sunrise shots at Brighton (they are posted on my TL site as they have the old pier in them). I love the colour here and the beautiful lines of trees in the mist. It is a beautiful scene

Hello Paul,
I like the layered effect of the different parallel rows of trees, as if they grow on ridges (Which they may do), the row on the horizon being almost part of the morning mist.
Great dawn lighting and colours. Another beautiful landscape shot from you.
Nice to see!
TFS and best wishes, Ivan

Hello Paul,
Wow, this is really stunning! You're certainly a master of landscape photography - I'm most impressed. Wonderful range of contours in the morning mist and the sky is so beautiful. That's the sort of time of day one should be out but I never make it!
Many thanks for this lovely capture, Ulla

A totally "cool" layering of contrasts an colors. Done right like this these types of pictures, being rare, are of the best quality. I have been so busy with websites that I have not been back here in a while. Sorry I missed this...very well done Paul.

Hi Paul,
I was hopeing to get a similar photo last saturday, but the fog and cloud cover were just too thick. You did excellent getting up early and being at a previously checked out position. It gave you the full benefit of the wonderful light spectacle. Love the colors and the different layers of trees. But, I have a bit of a struggle with the quality of the photo. Did you have to reduce the photo a lot. Especially the FG trees seem to suffer from the compression. Still the mood and composition are wonderful.
TFS,
Niek

Hello Paul,
stomping around in the woods has been well awarded!
This is a very unusual image that looks like a painting by William Turner. Sheer colours of light with an immensely wide spectre, and surprisingly well detailed rows of trees forming rhythmically shaped patterns lined up in mystical depth.
Thank you! With best regards,
Peter

Hi Paul,
This is stunning - you must have been dedicated to get out and about early enough - very impressive :-)
I love misty layered shots like this, you've captured a really beautiful scene, the colours and subtle misty shades are gorgeous.
I also think that a closer portrait crop might be effective too, did you try???
Brilliant work mate.
