A mother Red-legged Partridge (Alectoris rufa) with her brood in the evening sunshine. My wife and I had just pulled our car off the road ready to take a walk, and the whole family were in view pecking around for food. We stayed in the car and I was able to take plenty of shots through the open window. There is a closer picture of one of the chicks here.

Hi Vinny,
Well handled photo with good colour on the plumage. Family shots allways tell a story and one can see the watchfullness in this parent. Nice highlight in the eye.
