It had been a very British day: lots of thin drizzle. Finally the clouds began to lift as we drove into Corfe Castle.
The sun made its way valiantly through the remaining clouds and all our spirits lifted.
Corfe Castle is a small village and its attendant castle charmingly situated in a gap in the Purbeck Hills.

Hi Silke,
I like very much the mood of this picture!
It's so good the light and the calm moment transmitted by the resting pose of the horses.
Perhaps it have been useful if the standing horse would be a little below or up in the image, so the whole animal would be appreciated in full grass or the shadows.
Anyways I like a lot the composition you made here.
Well done and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

Hello Silke! Beautiful landscape with horses. Good colors and light. Regards!

Hi Silke,

A very pretty landscape. I love the green grass and the rolling hills - not much grass in Tucson. The resting horses fit in with the mood of the picture very well.

Jane

Hello Silke

A beautiful pastoral scene...after the storm.I love the patchwork quilt look of the countryside.Wonderful illumination and colours. The POV is excellent.Did you get a look at the Durdle Door Arch while you were there ?TFS

Rob

Hello Silke,
Such a peaceful and pleasant view!
English countryside at its best, still possible to experience...
I notice the horses grazing in a field of flowers, and the view to the farmland in a distance; even a black bird is out looking for insects!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Silke,
i drove past here just last night on the way to the coast to get some evening shots of Kimmeridge Bay, but alas it was raining hard, just for a change so i came back with nothing!
This however seems to have the very essence of the Dorset countryside in it, with rolling green hills and fields as far as the eye can see. Hope you can make it back next year to explore some more!
Paul

Beautiful landscape. I keep checking the Dates Taken to make sure you're following Dr.'s orders. :)

Belle photo de ces chevaux dans la prairie, ils sont bien pris et jolis. Amitiés Thomas

Hello Silke !
I love the gloomy atmosphere of this picture, really typical from England - according to the other people, because I was never there myself ! :-) The landscape is very beautiful, the composition and the POV are excellent, the colors are very natural. Very well done !
Valerie.
