[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Whilst out looking for fungi in the New Forest I decided to sit down for a quick breather. I dropped my inhaler and whilst scrabbling around on the forest floor I realised that everywhere that I looked was covered in what can only be described as a thick carpet of moss. It almost looked like a deep shag pile from a grotty 70's living room ! That said I hadn't realised how interesting moss was until I took a closer look. The part I liked the most was these tendrils that are used to "fling" the spores out on their way.
Not really that up on the art of Macro so any hints and tips would be appreciated.

How cool is that Jai..Perhaps one day you will find teh special secret that makes the inhaler go away...for allergies or asthma? Ahhhh. We can find the most magical pictures at most usual spots in location and time...

Hi Jai,
i have no idea what Rajeev means here about needing 'more perfection', the composition looks fine to me!
The diagonal strip of moss that cuts across in the FG is great, and the blurred background makes your main subject stand out. I didn't actually know how Moss spread it's spores before seeing this and have to confess to not noticing these 'Spore Flingers' before either.
Nice details and lovely soft colours, thanks for sharing.
Paul
