Hello,

this another shot from near the same spot as my last post. As we wandered along the shoreline searching for a spot of interest, i couldn't help but notice the half buried remains of this boat. How long it has been laying there in the silt i have no idea, but the the seaweed (Bladder Wrack - thanks Ivan for the earlier ID) seems to have no problem adopting it as a suitable place to set up home.
It struck me as a good example of how the daily mass movement of water could swallow up and hide even a large boat such as this, left long enough. Not long after we were stood here, this entire area was submerged once more.

Shot in RAW, highlights reduced, lervels and curves slightly adjusted, converted to JPEG, resized and sharpened

Thanks for looking..

Wonderful moody sunset shot. The colours are superb and the composition, that shows how nature is slowly reclaiming her own, is wonderful!
Fabulous posting

Hi Paul

Time is not on my side these days, but i couldn't let a second photo from you slip by :)
Indeed the old boat here creates a great FG element plus it also adds a good perspective of time in your scene.
The see weed lines here also look great and bring some extra blue tones to this part of the picture, fact that balances the colors even better in the frame.
Amazing colors in the reflection on the water as well as the sky. However, i feel that this is just a couple of minutes before the "Goldilocks moment" :) There are some very small burned areas aroung the sun...but i understand perfectly why...as you said this area would have been covered by water soon after this moment and you would have lost all the terrific FG. It's a very small price to pay (for my curiosity, did you try cloning those very small areas?)
Anyway, it's an outstanding composition with this ultra wide angle view.

Bravo and TFS
Horia

Great colours here ! You have catch a great moment

Your choice of lens for this composition worked well. The colors are nicely saturated and the value range is broad. Nice work.

Hello Paul,
you've captured this atmospheric scene perfectly.
+++ I love the effect from the super wideangle lens you used: the way the everything is pointing to the centre of the photo like it's all being suck into a black hole or something is amazing.
Once again your composition is unblemished using forground middle and background interest to produce a highly pleasing image to look at.
And the clarity is stunning as usual giving ultimate sharpness and some real fine details.
Beautiful lighting and colours.
Superb notes.
--- There's a few burned areas around the sun but used the lighting to its best and the outcome is this absolutely stunnig image.
Well done,
Joe

Hi Paul,
Just acknowledging this wonderful shot from you now and will come back with a proper critique later. I am still out of town, in fact I am stuck here. Hope to be back by tomm.
Regards.

The dramatic colors of the sky, combined with the remnants of the boat FG make for an interesting composition Paul. Very good use of the filters to jazz up the sat and keep the exposure under control.
Very well done.
Howard

Hi Paul!
I just marking to come back soon with detailed comment :)

Hello Paul,
An attractive sunset!
Almost extraterrestrial, beyond reality...
The colours are amazing and the way light reflects off the sea and wet sand is very beautiful!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Not only a good image but a historical click as well. From your words, not common perhaps, but more and more of these are coming back from ancient days, through new technologies. Very nice find and well done image
Bob

Hello Paul,
Another beautiful and fantastic sunset seascape shot from you.
Wonderful overall colouration here, with excellent details and very nice POV!
Thanks for the sharing this lovely photo. :)
Best wishes,
Kevin

Saludos Paul.

Hello my friend Paul,
The exposure and focus is perfect in this shot!
very good atmosphere and mood in low pov with well saturated colour!
very well done and composed
cheers
Tony

Hi Paul. Once again a very good sunset shot of a beautiful place. You have captured the last rays of the sun with excellent colour. the shapes left by the old boat are most interesting.. well done TFS.
Nick..

Hi Paul,

Hi Paul!

I'm impressed by the way you see the natural beauty of our landscapes. It's difficult to explain why hundreds of pictures of sunsets are just banal and don't evoke more than the feeling of "already seen" and why yours are fascinating. That's what also makes the difference between a photographer and an artist. Even one of the most common subjects in photography is under a charm when you take it...

Kind regards

Markus

G'day Paul.
That boat must have been there a long time. It's almost unrecognisable. As I'm a lover of landscapes, I think I'll always be attracted to landscape format images, as much as I like the vertical portrait format. This is really beautiful. Wonderful light and awesome colours. Another superb image. Well done.
Best regards, Steve.

hello Paul,
I'm a little bit late, but internet problems and other occupations didn't give me opportunity to be on TN. But this is such a fabulous view of sea and sky, with a wonderful light, that I had to make a little critique, which isn't really one;-)
Thanks for so much atmosphere
Anne

Hello Paul
I really like the way you have used the band of seaweed on the frame of the boat in the foreground..and the sun then in the left of the picture..this to me is great framing..the sun has gone a tad oe but I really feel that this works in this picture...top work again Paul

Hello Paul,
What a brilliant composition where the light is stunning! A very fine illustration of the power of nature to reclaim. I like the POV showing the outline of the sea-weed covered wreck. Excellent DOF and wonderful colours of the sky. Well done!
