Nice shot. Too bad he wasn't looking up, though. I've found most folks like to see the critter's eyes (when I don't it always gets pointed out).
Welcome!
Mike

A good first post, Paul.
Nice composition and point of view.

I wish you the most cordial welcome on TrekNature.
In the pleasure to admire your next posts and to read your notes and critics.
Thank you for sharing.

Nice colors, Paul. And I like the drop of water.

Since the head is vertical, I think I would have rotated the camera 90°. (or cropped out the left and right afterwards but best result would sure be abtained from rotating the camera).

The angle sun-swann-photographer was not the best. Half of the head is too dark. Half of the head is too light. The best would have been a cloud passing by. Alternatively going into the water :-) so that the swan would be between you and the sun. Then the part in the sun would have been reduced to a thin line, and the part in the shadow no more underexposed.

I don't mind we almost don't see the eyes. Its position is a good portait of the usual posture of the swans.

Thanks for posting. JM
