A powerful shot of the Blackbird. You have exposed the black colors perfectly. We can see even the most subtle shade changes. Great focus with perfect edges. Dynamic black eye with yellow ring and just the right glint of light. Very nice profile view. Bird looks like it was posing for a purpose. Congratulations!

I have some baby blackbirds in my garden at the moment (eating my mealworms and my insect seed mix). They are very sweet. I love your portrait of the adult. Excellent exposure, great details captured on the dark feathers. Nice POV, pin sharp and great light (especially considering the manky weather today)

A beautiful capture of this Turdus merula.It does resemble our Turdus migratorious in everything but colours.Wonderful focus and sharp details,the plumage really shows well.Excellent POV and DOF.I really like the catch light in the eye.A top notch shot.TFS

Blackbirds do make a really good photo with that huge contrast between the Yellow bill and the Black feathering.
I think you shoud put a new cap on the post before it starts to rot!!

Congrats on an excellent shot of the male Blackbird. The details in the black plumage is clearly visible, not an easy task. Love the slightly raised feathers on the head. Cute pose and nice eye contact. :-)
