Hi Nick, darn fine flying thing you have there!!.. the light on this has given it a vibrancy and colour definition not seen for a while. The focus is good and the composition is excellent. Great POV and DoF.

Hola Nicholas, una toma con buena luz has evitado los brillos molestos, nitida y con unos colores muy llamativos. Un saludo

Hello Nicholas,

Very good picture of this damselfly. I had twice the opportunity to shoot the same species and unfortunately I missed it. I think you are right with the ID. Good sharpness on the whole insect and great colours.
Cheers,
Mariki

It's so sharp it almost looks out of place....I mean you had this one down to a minute point of focus. super image Nick..Dang...and I was just getting on to the birds..still a bit cool here yet for the dragonflies and I am not at all sure I will haev this kind of success..
bob

Hello Nick
You have really used the 180mm perfectly here on your first Damsel of the year..The f8 has really bought amazing details to this capture..It was a perfect choice despite the low shutter created...Its a stunning shot......I tried out the 150mm today but I am tempted by the 180mm solely on this shot!!
A good Sunday to you Nick
Paul

Hi Nick,

The damselfly and the leaf are both wonderful. Excellent colors and details of both. I love the fuzzy edges of the leaf. A perfect setting for the red damselfly.
