[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This shot is not the normal sort of shot on TN I know but I feel its good to see all sides of the story. My past two postings have been of the fluffy creatures that emerge from these eggs. It never ceases to amaze me when I see new born birds and imagine their lives in these mini worlds before they pop out. As I said in my previous post the swans at Abbotsbury have had it tough of the preceeding months, obviously also a squashed life in the shell but nature being nature they look sure to strive onwards and later upwards. I look forward to seeing them return in later years to follow to continue this marvellous cycle.

Hi Jai,
i would say the Egg came before the bird, as Dinosaurs were using them a long time before Birds were around! This my friend is an 'eggsellent' shot, the type of post that TN really needs more of. Great detail, well exposed, superb setting and i like the fact that we can see just how fresh this hatching is adds something a bit eggstra to the whole thing. Well done that man.
