Hi,

This was taken a week or so ago, during a stroll around the very tip of Hengistbury Head one evening after work.
We stopped here for a while to enjoy the sea air and i noticed this little gap looking West between two large boulders that was channelling break water quite fiercely over the rocks. Got a bit wet taking it but the camera survived luckily!

This spot marks the western entrance to The Solent, a stretch of water that seperates the Isle Of White from the mainland to the North. It's well known for it's rare 'double tide', a result of outgoing water bouncing back off the nearby island and back into the channel.

Thanks for looking..

Hi Paul

Your usual excellent standard here. Great use of the rocks and clouds, highlighted by the blurred surf.

James

Hello Paul,
I am sick of looking at pictures you have taken of sights I have visited, they are far and beyond better than my poor efforts! As always your composition is beautiful, with great detail. Thanks for sharing, Lee

Hi Paul
I never get sick of looking at your pictures! I like the image being taken between the two rocks. Nice detail throughout the shot and well framed.
Cheers
Sue

Paul;
I cannot tell you how much Jane and I both love your work...I mean it...My images pale in contrast to yours..not only on TN, but as well on my own wall! I cannot get my eyes off of it...you are a good...perhaps great photographer who may forever go unrecognized unless you break the bounds of TN and go into something big time...but if you are truly a 9-5'er then I reckon you can still legit call it a hobby...but one which you have mastered well.
Bob

Hello Paul,

This photo is really captive. The colors and use of a long exposure makes this photo very successful.

Fantastic capture, Paul!!
Awesome movement in the sea and I love how you've captured the spray... very original! :-)
Pin-sharp and crystal clear.
Lovely colours.
Perfect exposure.
Have a great day at the Red Kite place tomorrow, I'm looking forward to some action shots :-)

Cheers mate,
Joe

Merhaba Paul,
What an excellent wide angle shot with tremendous depth, as your usual forte my friend, we should get used to your trademark by now, but your every naturescape has a unique beauty. The time exposure again produced a fine water movement to enhance this fine composition. TFS this beautiful environment.
Mehmet

Hello Paul,
A Camera Wash instead of a Car Wash. Bad joke actually and could be an expensive one as well...
Strange effect through your long exposure. Well composed with good depth.

Dinámico trabajo en que plasmas bien el movimiento y das un gran protagonismo al agua. Buenas tonalidades y además el ángulo, como siempre, enriqueciendo la fotografía.
Abrazo.

Hello Paul,
This looks rather dramatic, I'm glad your camera didn't get soaked! Excellent low POV and a fine view across the bay. Lovely light and beautiful cloud formations too. Well done!
TFS and have a nice weekend, Ulla

I am sure I would love to live where you live and while I was at Ile Verte I often wondered what kind of pictures you would take of the coast. This one, once more, is simply stunning and beautiful. You have a sharp eye and great technical skills. Here the movement of the water is amazing and makes the picture. The light is fantastic and so is the shore...lucky you to live close to the ocean! And thank you to share those wonderful places,

Francine

pts tomorrow

Dorset is magical, Paul..you're a great ambassador of this lovely place.
very well done!

Hi Paul!

I like the narrow gate that leads us into the picture very much. You have a very good eye for the composition. Moreover, the lighting and the details are superb and the blurred water adds to the effect of the picture.

Kind regards

Markus
