[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This woodpecker has recently started feeding in our garden. He's a bit nervous of other birds but can scoff home made fatball like crazy. I put up a white board behind a feeding table and placed a branch for the bird to perch on, I waited all day for this chap and was rewarded with about 8 shots, this was the best pose.

Hi Matthew,

Very nice picture of the woodpecker, colours, fine details in plumage and all.

I may not fully agree with you regarding the white board, as it make the pic look rather "sterile" - but that's just me!
