This is the same Great Spotted Woodpecker as I posted recently but today I got this juvenile with the flash gun on a dark background instead of white! The shutter speed would have been way too low without the extra light.ISO was 400

Wonderful details and colours with a really nice composition. The details on the feathers and the light in the eye are particularly nice. Really well done
