| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Kittiwakes nest in their hundreds of pairs on the North East Coast. Some are on the most precarious of sites, as these are, on a sheer cliff face. One step from a very long drop. Beautiful sea birds and the bright white feathering makes them a cifficult subject, especially in sunshine. I am pleased with this photograph though. |

Hi Peter,
although i think some parts of this a just tad over exposed maybe, it is a very sweet scene and the clarity and sharpness are great. I also like the composition too.
Thanks,
Paul

Hello Peter,
White subjects in bright sunshine are difficult to balance and tend to be overexposed. You have just about avoided this problem and produced a sharp photo with good comp.
If the rock behind the adult were less covered in droppings this shot would be fantastic, but we all have our 'ifs' and I would be pleased with this too.
TFS and best wishes, Ivan
