Hi John,
Here is something you don't see every day. I always see these bird in flight and fast they can go.
Very good sharpness and details and I like the reflection on the sun on the feathers.

The E500 & Nikkor glass is an excellent combination in your hands..
Lovely color, the blue sheen is wonderful here.
POV, pose, sharpness, detail, etc..it's all there.

Very beautiful glow on the feathers John.
Great sharpness, lighting, composition and DOF.
Feather details, catch light in the eye of the swallow and soft BG colors are wonderful.

Well done John, for getting close enough for the photograph without disturbing the Swallow. Even with a big lens you have to get reasonably close.
Good colouring and definition. They do seem to like the pipe type railings.
Now get one flying to match it.

Hi John, excellent sharp, detail on this swallow. His turn of the head makes a perfect pose, giving you that great eye. I would have preferred a branch to a pipe for him to sit on, but sometimes you take what you can get. Very nicely done.
