[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Adult Grebe has just passed one of it's feathers to the young grebe. It's thought that grebes eat their feathers to help with the digestion process, perhaps slowing it down, so that the bones of fish do not pass straight into the intestine. It could also help with parasites in the stomach. The stomachs have been known to be half-full of feathers.

Hi Bratman,
Splendid shot and a very tender moment captured. Lovely colours and sharpness. Perfect lighting, good focus and a precise DOF. Excellent POV and I like the way both of them are looking at each other with much eagerness and compassion. Very nicely composed. Kudos.
TFS.

Hi John,
This is a beautiful photograph. I wish I had seen the action never mind photographing it. I was thinking at first t might look better a bit lighter overall but I am not sure now I have looked at it a while.
I love it.
Well done and TFS.
Best wishes,
Peter

Hello John,
I love the Great Crested Grebe, it is so beautiful. You were really lucky to get so close to it together with its chick. Here it is very shy. Grat sharpness and nice colours. Excellent composition!!
