[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Common Tern photographed at Hornsea Mere.
A group of terns including Artics,Rosettes and rare Black Terns had taken over a boat jetty and were fishing for perch. Some fed the small fish to juveniles which had travelled with them. Great to see as terns are normally a sea bird. This one is preparing to drop on a shoal...I'll post some with fish at a later date.

Hi John
Lovely picture, especially the wing position is great, perfectly sharp and nice BG giving a monochrome picture with red spots on the bill and the feet.
Like it

Hi John,
a good one. Flying terns ain't easy to capture. the white balance it well chosen.
In my humble opinion the name in your image is quite disturbing.
Regards, Jacob

Hello John,
Excellent in-flight capture of a Common Tern, sharp, caught at a good moment and well composed.
After reading Jacobs comment about the name, with which I agree, after taking in this shot I found that I could easily clone away the name and copyright. So I don't know how we can put a copyright our on own pictures.
TFS,
Regards, Ivan

Hi John
a very nice picture of a hover tern.
The POV is great, you must have been in the same level.
The exposure and sharpness are spot on.
The tern standout well from the sky.
Well done.

Hi John,
what a nice pose of this tern, it is should be a very fast capture but you still got the detail of its feather, TFS

Perfect!!!
Best regards,

Kiko Arcas

Exceptional in-flight shot. I know this species is very fast in flight, but you managed to freeze the action well and caught a beautiful pose. The difficult white is exposed well. You have nice DOF and very soft, clean blue sky.
A minor concern - I would use copyright symbol with your name, possibly in script and a much smaller font. This is a favorite of mine. Well done.

Hello John , very good comp , POV , freezing action , TFS.

Hi John

This is a beautiful shot. A work of art! The details are so clear and sharp. Nicely timed too. Congrats. :-)

Great shot of this tern the in-flight capture is super and the POV couldn't be better. Very nice John. :)

Hi John,
Beautiful photo of this Tern in flight.
Good colours. A little oversharpened judging by the white line (halo) round the body but thats just a small niggle.
Well done,
Peter
