[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
When grebes fish they course a lake with their head under the water. once they spot a fish they thrust the whole body under and chase the quarry usually resurfacing some distance away. I tend to sit still as it swims around and then move into position whilst it's under the water. You can see roughly where it's going to pop up by keeping an eye on the turbulance as it disturbs the lake bed. This one has just surfaced.

Hello John , perfect action photo , i like very much comp. and artistic photo. TFS.

The action in here is so good.
This actually has a painted look to it. I really think this would make a fine print in large size.

Hello, John,

Really a decisive moment! Fine frame, sharp and very clear picture!

Hi John,

super action shot. Good detail too.

Hi John, Grebes are such elegant animals, you made a very original shot. You can comment on the sharpness but it has some artistic profile as well, so here a big green smile..

Hi John. very good timing on your part. great action shot. great picture all round .well done TFS.
Nick..

Good action photo but slightly out of focus. Needed a polarising filter to cool the reflection down.
Nice to see. keep them coming.

Peter
