Hi Karan,
It looks like we both didn't have the energy to do anything after a day of work. I do hope that the fresh air help to fight the cold.
The first thing I noticed when I looked at this photo was the wonderful shaped tree and the rolling country side. I then discovered the river running down in the valley. My second look also disapointed me, I noticed the after effects of a brush in the sky. I assume you darkened the sky by masking the landscape. Next time try to use a softer brush along the edged so that it will not show. Also, its better to make strokes than dots and keep the opacity on 100%

I love the colours and this view - the air is so fresh and it's relaxing to take a walk in this atmosphere. You can be lucky that you have rain - we have snow and it's very cold.

zauberhafte Stille, angenehm weiches Licht. Wohltuend tröstlich in seiner Melancholie und Ehrlichkeit ist dieses simple Bild einer englischen Hügellandschaft im Spätherbst. Ich wünsche Dir ein enspanntes, erholsames Wochenende in diesen verinnerlichten Tagen.
Sorry for writing the above in German, but sometimes my limited command of the English language does not allow me to express what I want to say. Rainy days are good days, as often said, for making and sharing sensitive, simple images like this one. Thank you for that. Have a very good weekend.

Hi Karen, this is a very good landscape composition. You are really taking some great landscape shots. I love the pov and perspective on the scene. All is perfectly sharp with detail throghout and bathed in lovely autumn light. The hue of the soft rain adds depth to the scene. Perfect expsosure. Congrats on a great shot.

Hi Karan

One of these days, I will get back to Arundel (it is not too far from where I live!).
I love the misty in the valley, and can accept the editting issue with they sky. Niek has a very keen eye for it and has caught me as well!

Great shot and some wonderul colours as details.

Magnificient landscape, this kind of photos elevate the spirits and makes one wonder abt the beauty.
save a small nit - the Burning is evident in the sky, could be use with a smude / gaussian blur to obsfucate the hard edges/boundries.
after seeing the sky with intersecting circles,i exclaimed "set theory"!

I hope you feel better now. I had the flue earlier this year and I think that those once banal diseases are getting stronger and stronger... Thanks to all those antibiotics that made virus going more and more resistant; this is such a pity. Anyway, I'm not here to talk about this kind of stuff but about this wonderful scenery. It looks like a Master's painting! This is so beautiful with superb tones of colors, excellent DOF and details, superb composition and everything. This is VERY nice with interesting nostalgic mood. these days someone has deleted own shot which I marked once as favorite. When I have seen your amazed me picture I immediately has marked it as my new and last (100th) favorite picture. Thank you for it and heart congratulations. It is terrific by scene, highest quality of execution. This is true tree-dimensional picture with tremendous transparency, fantastic lights and stunning colours. Bravo, Bravo and once more Bravo.

nos presentas una exquisita gama de colores
típicamente otoñales dentro de una compleja y excelente composición. Has sabido elegir un ángulo adecuado para el disparo y situar muy bien ese árbol que rompe bien la horizontalidad
dominante y da una referencia para el espacio.
Suave y atractiva iluminación. Una bonita fotografía.

It's always raining in England. So, WHAT'S NEW???
I too had the 'flu for a few days. Also, HortaP, a fellow pilot, now retired too, discoverd me on TN after 50 years of seperation from our unit in the Portuguese Air Force. So, as you can imagine it has been a most joyful re-union. It has consumed a lot of my time... for the better.!!!
This is a suoperb landscape.

Your title reminded me of another Karan,although I was not into her brand of music,Karan carpenter sang :"Rainy days and Mondays always get me down
Funny but it seems I always wind up here with you
It’s nice to know somebody loves me"
Sounds like she would have fit in on TN.
I love the craggy tree,the sloping land,and the beautiful autumn colours.
Rainy days can create beautiful atmosphere,and as I was always told.
They all can't be diamonds...some are going to be just rocks.
There is a neat mist in the low land area,and the sky has a wonderful look,like the clouds are holding back the sunshine and it could break through any time.

Excellent shot! The rule of thirds for both the sky and the tree along with the colourful scenery, all work well to make this a superb picture.
