Im not sure if you can get an action shot of a Toad as they arent the quickest creatures on the planet but this is my take of an action shot of a toad. (if you look closely he is in mid walk!!, I was actually surprised how quick he moved when I took this!!)

I have to Thank Ivan (Argus) for correcting me on my last post where I identified this fella as a frog.

Common Toad - Bufo bufo

Tailless amphibian. Warty Skin.

Distinct bulges on back of head, known as the parotoid glands

Tends to walk not jump

Covered in obvious warts

Horizontal slit pupil yellow/golden brown iris

Dorsal surface and flanks, fairly uniform brown/greenish grey

May appear light sandy brown in warm weather

Ventral surface, dirty white/cream with speckles

Some colour variation occurs and individuals have been recorded with brick red spots.

Length: males up to 8 cm females up to13 cm

Hi Billy. You some how have captured the movement as this fellow walks. I think its the leg up in the air. . Once again you have captured him with good detail and natural colours. Its eyes look a bit sleepy. Well done tFs.
Nick..

Have a good weekend.

Bet your still trying to get the grass stains out aren't you?! Superb low POV mate, and an excellent DOF too with sharp details. If Toads could look grumpy, this one certainly would! A corker.

Hi Billy,

Amazing to be able to capture a toad with his front leg raised like that! I love the expression on his face. Either it's taking him a lot of effort to move or you are in his way. Doesn't look too happy. Wonderful details of his eye and skin. He looks terrific surrounded by the grass.

Jane

Hi and Good Morning Billy,
An awesome macro capture of a common toad between the grasses from nice frontal POV with neat details and nice composition.
TFS and have a nice WE!
Cheers,
Bayram

Hello Billy, the motion is evident here. Good capture of the action in low POV. Nice shallow depth and contrasting background.
