Hi Mike, very nice details and patterns. The B/W goes well, I think I shall have to do a few B/W images, this adds so much character to this bird. There is a very fine line betwix art and nature, this is close!! excellent!

Hello Mike
This is great in BW but the best thing of all is the dof..you have him tip of tail to beak and all points inbetween sharp and full of detail...great work indeed..the oof bg really highlights the beak of this glorious aviator.
best regards
paul
I like it a lot..as I do much if not all of your B&W work...and now I must know what font this is you used. It looks like something I might use in other places..Very nice Mike!

Hello Mike,
You have achieved very good, sharp focus on this bird. Excellent plummage details and good eye contact especially when you were filming him from behind!
This shot works very well in b&w. I am impressed!

Super shot with just the right amount of contrast. I love the subtle details - something I don't often see with black and white (and that tells me I need to look more carefully at photos). The view of the eye is telling and the framing and composition is amazing.

Hi Mike
Another great shot of the Rook, nicely composed and I am a big fan of this pose showing the way the wings are folded behind the bird and with the head in profile you can really see how massive the beak is, nice detail on the whole bird and the B&W looks great.
Have a great Weekend!

Another excellent capture of this Rook, Mike!
The clarity here is exceptional!
Very sharp and detailed.
It looks great in B+W!
I like the frame too.
As long as there's sun tomorrow then I'll be happy - I have my Op-tec rainsleeve to protect my camera from the rain! :-D
See you tomorrow!

My love for black birds is still alive and those rooks you have and which are unknown to me here, are wonderful birds with their big bill and funny expression. You always manage to take great pictures of them and I envy you because I cannot approach the crows on my backyards. This is a nice view from its back with great details in the feathers, thanks to the dim light. Your choice for B&W is judicious with that kind of light and with the black bird. Thank you!
