Hi Nick,

A beautiful little Coal Tit in a wonderful pose contemplating the branch. Perhaps he's wondering where the rest of it is. Pretty colors and razor sharp details. I love the background and how it picks up the same color in the bird. Wonderful composition, as always.

Hello Nicholas,

This is an exquisite photo with this tiny bird. The sharpness of the image is amaising. Even small feathers and details of the perch beneath the bird can be well observed. The bird stays very nice agains the blurry background. You have used the light with great skill. Plumage colors are so well shown making a fine contrast with the beautifull background.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hi Nick

Sorry to hear the weather forecast for this weekend isn't all that great there :( But on the other hand, look what lovely image the same weather has brought you :)
I think that the cloudy conditions have added some extra saturation here for both bird and BG which boosts the shot. All the tones are beautiful and warm!
The details are equally terrific and the DOF here is simply outstanding! Very nice work!

Bravo and TFS

Hello Nick,

Wow! What a wonderful bg enhancing this nice Coal Tit! Colors are fantastic and feather details, awesome! The only thing maybe is that I would have not put so much sharpen on the branch which catch a little bit the attention. Nice composition and great work!

Well done and TFS!

Michel

Hi Nick,
This must be one of the best pictures of a Coal Tit I have ever seen. Everything is just perfect and from the other perfect pictures this lifted to a higher level by the very good expression on his face. Very good work!

Don't feel too badly about the weather...although it may be a repeat as last, you still know how to take images in low contrast..so no fears there Sir Nick!

Hi Nick.
We also have a dull weather conditions (daily temperature is about 5C and whole day dense clouds are in the sky). However, your image is full of vibrant colours and as usual is sharpened superbly. Pictured scene, pose of the cute bird and POV are fine. Exposure and colours are spot on too. Bravo and best regards.

Hi Nick,

This is a typical attitude for the coaltit. Beautiful. When I saw the results of your work, I don't think so that you have any problem with the weatherconditions. Just what Bob Egshannon said: "you still know how to take images in low contrast"

Have a nice weekend and TFS BOB

Hi Nicholas,
this is a nice picture of the beautiful coal tit.
It's well composed with a nice POV, lovely colours and fine DOF, the bird standout well from the BG.
But IMO it's a pretty much over-sharpen.
Is it just me and my monitor or are people to polite to mention it?. Anyway it's a nice picture.
Well done, my friend.
Have a nice weekend.
/Gert

Another WOW shot...fabulous background - perfect for this shot. Great details and perfect sharpness...as usual. :)

Hi Nick,
A nice capture of this beautiful coal tit. Superb details and a lovely composition. I think the 70-300 is the winner as compared to your big sigma zoom lens in your skillful hands. Many thanks for sharing this.

Hello Nick.

the dull conditions seem to have diffused the light nicely. Excellent sharpness and DOF as usual from you. I really like his pose and the detail you can see in his talons. The range of colours is also pleasing.

Well, your "dull" conditions somehow produced a "brilliant" image of this fine Tit individual Nicholas, it exhibits its plumage and colouration features in high detail from this lateral POV, proving once more that the diffuse illumination obtained under "open shade" daylight conditions is best for such close ups. TFS and cheers,
Mehmet
Sorry, but just run out of smileys...

Hello Nicholas,
Subtle and fine bird picture. The pose of the bird is so cute! Very fine details, like the different coloration of the plumage or of the bark and the blurred background make this picture really remarkable.
Un grand merci
Anne
