A beautiful capture of this Great Tit. It may have been a dull day but there is nothing dull about this picture. You always capture your birds in wonderful poses and this is no exception. Wonderful colors and details of the face, wings and plummage. The composition is marvelous - I love the beautiful leaves.

Lovely one of a Great Tit showing sharply and well against a great OOF dark BG in ambient light. I like composition and the holly leaves give it a Christmas touch.
Thanks for sharing this and reminding me that I must try to take a Great Tit when the weather brightens up a bit. It's been dark and cloudy for ten days here now.

The day may have been dull but it has not hampered your ability to capture the excellent details of the colour and texture of the plummage.

The Holly and the Ivy...so Xmas of you Nick and then add a nice bird to fill the whole story in and you have the "Church of England"!:-) HA! Hi Nick.
I like so much dark key of execution of the nice scene. Charming bird, fine leaves on a FG as well as small twig are looked on a damped up BG greatly. Exposure and details are the best and front POV cannot be better too. Bravo. Superb job.

la cinciallegra è uno dei miei soggetti preferiti, ma le condizioni di luce quando e dove la posso osservare non sono buone, come in questo caso, ma tu hai saputo catturare con la poca luce una meravigliosa immagine dai bellissimi colori saturi, esaltati dal BG scuro, ottima la definizione.

What a fine picture of the great Tit. The colors appear very natural, the fine grey background underlines the beauty of the bird's plumage. I also like the beautiful green leaves of the European Holly on which the bird is posed. For me it's a lovely shot.
