After posting over 200 images on TN, I finally have a spider shot worth posting!!
I'd like to thank Monika (Thistle) for helping me with the ID of this little Spider.
I got this yesterday morning at College lake nature centre in Bulbourne.

Pardosa lugubris
(Wolf Spider)

These are medium to large spiders which are found running on the ground. The females carry their egg-sacs attached to the spinners.

There are ten genera of Lycosidae of which the Pardosa are the most widespread. Unlike most other spiders the Pardosa spp are quite gregarious, and are often found in some numbers. While they will avoid other similarly sized spiders, they will attack and devour small immatures of their own species. They are known as Wolf Spiders because it was thought that they hunted in packs and ran down their prey. This idea was reinforced because it was known that their eyesight was better than average for their order. Their prey includes smaller animals such a springtails and small flies.

Hi Alan, interesting shot. Great detail and lighting, also well composed. I take it that he is hiding one leg because I can only see seven. Well captured and TFS.

Good one Alan! Well captured on the leaf, and he's quite clear to see too. He looks like he's got a leg missing, but it doesn't seem to worry him. Well done,
Janice

Nice spider... I like the little beasts only when they are on photos, I hate them in real :-)) Details, colors and composition are excellent, and it's nice to see the spider with his eggs. Well done !
Valérie.

Hello Alan,
I'm glad I could help!
This is a superb shot. I like especially the colours here. The POV and framing are great too. It seems the picture is a little overshapened, but still it's a great shot!
VERY WELL DONE!
