Saw this green woodpecker today at Danson Park in Kent while taking the little one for some fresh air. Unfortunately I did not manage to load the correct lens at the time as for me I was so happy to finally see a woodpecker, especially this kind. At first I though it was a loose budgie but then realised as I got closer that we had encountered a Green Woodpecker.
Info: Jackdaw -sized, apple green above, paler below, yellow patch above tail shows best in flight. Big red cap.
Feeds on ants, often seen on ground in old meadows or on heaths, flies up to nearest tree if disturbed.
Nikon D100, 1/180 sec f/18
Iso: 1600, Exp comp: 0 EV.

Nice shot Demitrio, It is a shame about the focus. But as you say to see a green woodpecker while out in the park is very uncommon. Stilla nice shot. well done
