[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
These waders are just small capture of a huge flock of thousands at RSPB Elmley Marshes. The large one on the left is Grey Plover, the small ones are Dunlins and the medium size birds are Red Knots. Various species all trying to fit on small patches of land and the shallow water around. Occasionally they are alarmed by a sight of predators and the flock explodes to flight.

A very dull day with low light and some rain.

Hi Pekka,

How wonderful to see all of these species peacefully co-existing. Each and every one is lovely with fine details and lovely soft wintry colors. I love the different poses - especially the one with the wings raised. A marvelous scene captured beautifully.

Hi Pekka. It may have been a dull day but you got a good selection of birds all in he shot. Showing them together shows the difference in size . Good detail and natural colours. well done TFS.

I have to tell you when I saw this picture for the first time I chuckled. I love the composition. It is like you have lined them up for a class picture with the shorter students in the front. I think The bird to the left, with it's wings out, makes this picture. It shows movement while the others are relatively still.
