Crambe maritima

This "sea cabbage" grows on pebble beaches at Folkestone. The plant was very popular as a vegetable in the 19th century. I've never seen it on the beeches around the Black Sea, so it looks exotic to me.

Salut Florin
Parca stiam ca pe malutile Marii Negre creste doar pe la Agigea, rezervatie stiintifica (acces: studenti la biologie!) Interesanta fotografie, aratand aceasta specie oarecum aproape de asezarile omenesti. Este un fel de "priviti, noi oamenii, stii sa ne stabilim oriunde, si nu mai lasam loc naturii!"
