[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
If I heard the guide correctly this is a Sumatran Tiger at the Dalton Wildlife Conservation Park near Barrow in Furness, Lancashire, UK. It is the largest of the remaining Tigers and also seriously in decline in the wild and needs conservation aid.
I was standing next to a large glass window in a nondescript building, sorting out my camera bag when a movement made me look up and I nearly died on the spot as this huge Tiger had reared up against the glass 2 feet from me. Its head seemed to be a yard across with teeth big enough to make an anchor for the Queen Mary liner. Paws the size of dustbin lids with claws like grappling hooks scraping at the window and all towering above me. I new it was feeding time and if it had not been for Pilkington's best glass I would have been the dinner.
Anyway I took the photo through wire mesh as it rested after being fed, using a Canon 1D mk11 and it was hand held. I have no other details as all my 1D exif files have been deleted.

Hi Peter, you obviously have a perfect exposure here, light and colours on the Tiger are wonderful. All nice and pin sharp, especially on those fine whiskers. You have caught a very nice pose from the well fed Tiger! Great note.

Hi Peter,
This is a very nice sharp photo with really good color results. I stayed on the retired Queen Mary liner which is now converted into a floating hotel on water. More information can be found here. :)

Superb....!
