This picture of a Jay gathering peanuts for its brood was taken from my hide. Conditions were very good for a change. Distance from camera approx. 7 metres.
Camera settings:- ISO 100, White balance - sunshine, AV, Spot metering, Remote shutter cord, 800mm focal length. |

Hi Peter,
I really like this bird, and I know how shy they really are. It is a pity that you don't see them that often anymore in our country.
You captured him perfectly with such great details and color. The clarity and the lighting are perfect. I just feel that part of the head is slightly OOF, or this might be the movement from eating the peanut.

Hi Peter, a very nice shot of the Jay. I like the pov which catches him in action having taken the nut. Very nice natural colours with good colour tones throughout. Clean and sharp on the plumage and eye. Makes a great compositon.
