Hello Everyone,

Please don't say, "Oh, another robin!"
Robins are such sociable and interesting birds and they frequently 'hang around' when I'm out in the garden. Their character just shines through ... and I just love anyone or anything with character!

My husband had put some logs in the garden, not quite sure what he is going to do with them, and of course this created interest! Within a few minutes of going outside, I saw this little chap investigating the logs. Maybe he was searching for seeds or insects in the bark cracks.

Thank you for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

pp cropped, sharpened, adj brightness & contrast, added layer, added borders, erased section to expose log, signed.

Hello Beverley,
There is a lot of delicious food in an old log!
Indeed it is fun to observe the birds these days, seems like they are even more happy that I am since the snow is gone...
A fine point of view, and the little fellow is captured with good details... a happy bird!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hi Bev

Great shot of the cute Robin, and I don't think we ever get sick of them.
Nicely composed with a good POV and nice pose.
Lovely colours too.

I think you will have to scatter a few seeds into the log to keep them coming!

Hello Bev
I personally adore Robins and the more that are posted the better in my book..You are so right about thier character..there is never the same look or pose from a Robin!!
This chap of yours is certainly having a look for insects in the bark of the log..He has that curious look to him...Just perhaps the focus is a little soft and just maybe its also a bit overexposed..When we get cloudy sunny days take a shot or 2 as the conditions change and have a look at the histogram..then you can add a bit of plus or minus exposure compensation.
I wish you a good week ahead.
Paul

Hi Beverley,

Just marking today and be back later...

I shall tell you as I have said to others..this one is quite different from the American which thinks it is the national bird instead of the Eagle....Very nice Bev!

Hi Bev,
Lovely shot again, you seem to have a knack at finding the cutest little fella's in the bird world. Nice colours and a good POV too, well done.

Hi Bev, yes,Robins, Chaffinches etc... I have a few, but there are so many better ones than I have, so I don't bother, but this is a good un, excellent pose and fine capture...

Hello Bev,
Lovely close capture of Robin from a fine POV. Great focus on the big round eye!! Lovely colours too. You're lucky to have them around your garden - we have one still around mostly hiding in the hedge!
Many thanks and cheers, Ulla

Hi Beverley.
I see there are many robins in your country. We have not them at all. Great close-up. I like a pictured scene so much. Excellent reproduction of all details of the bird, FG and scenery at whole are so attractive too. Soft lights and delicate but rich colours are wonderful. My best regards and compliments.
Alexei.
