[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hello Everyone,

Today I am posting a shot of a mallard duckling!
Well, it wasn't exactly the ocean, but the wind was so strong that it was making big waves on the canal and the poor duckling was bobbing up and down like a cork!

Just to show how 'clever' he was, this little guy (or gal) started performing tricks, like paddling with one foot, cleaning the back of his neck ... etc., whilst being tossed around by the wind. I just had to take a photograph!! Well, wouldn't you?

Many thanks for stopping by.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

Hi Beverley. This is the best bit about summer when all the young start to show up. You have captured a good pose of the young malard. good detail and natural colours. interesting to see how big the bill is as big as its head. well done TFS.

Hi Beverley,
Yes I would have taken the shot too.
You did manage good timing for the beak to be like that, and the webfoot very visible under water.Good speed to catch the water droplets too.
Take care
