[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Following yesterdays post I decided to place another shot of the same species wearing a different coat as it were. This is the Great Mormon and I believe the female of the species Papilio memnon. I have since learnt that this phenomenon in nature is called Polymorphy.
I cant wait to return to a butterfly farm to see what other disguises they may slip into.

Great butterfly. It has a nice color design. Polymorphy seems to be very common phenomenon for butterflies.

The photo looks nice. The white parts are not overexposed, which is sometimes difficult to achieve. Did you use a filter?

Mike

Black is a hard one to get right. At least for me. It would appear that you have this one down by use of the flash but not in an intrusive manner. I find use of the flash....well not sure..I would go for a reflector first..but not here. This is one of the macro flash deals...I have read about them but since I do more not on macro, the price is prohibitive. Nice image Jai!
