[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this picture of a Blue Tit along with one I posted of a Great Tit a few days ago at St. James Park in Central London. It was a great spot with flowering bushes and trees. In terms of photography it was perfect, providing a nice natural backdrop and you could get within a few feet of the birds. I wend back yesterday to find the park authorities had cut all the trees down! The squirrels looked lost and all the birds had gone. So my question to the St' James Park Authorities is, why couldn't you leave well enough alone?

Hi Mike,

Now why would a park cut all its trees down? Makes no sense to me at all. I'm glad you got this lovely shot of the Great Tit before the damage was done. The pose is wonderful - looks like he is looking down at you. Lovely colors and details. I'm sure you'll find another good spot for pictures.

Hello Mike, I am stunned at what I just read, they cut trees down in a park? Aren't there any city rules not to cut trees down unless they a very good reason? Wow, unbelievable and I feel so sad for all the living beings in this park... Hopefully they will relocate and meanwhile, you made a great picture before the cataclysm. I love the pose of this beautiful bird, with the tree branch filled with buds. Thank you!

Hi Mike

Great shot of the cute little Blue Tit, nicely composed with a excellent POV and I like the pose with the bird stretching its neck whilst perching on a branch with new buds, nice sharp feather detail with well saturated colours too.

What a shame about the trees at the park, a couple of years ago I spotted that the Buddleia's growing next to a river footpath that is outside my office were covered in about 9 types of Butterfly, I took a few shots with my old point and shoot, after the weekend when a postie had delived my new camera I eagerly went to work thinking about how many great shots I was going to take, only when I pulled my blind they had all been cut down, and this year they cut them down before they even flowered, so much for conservation!

Mans forcing his way into natural sources and resources is the thing wars are made of...your words are what makes this image stand out..the combination of words and images seem to me as an old news guy....to be so very important. While some images need no words.....most are much better suited to have at least some basics...but to add a certain suspe3ncse..makes it editorial!

Hello Mike. This is excellent capture in vertical format captured by your precision optics. You have managed shallow depth in keeping away the business leaving the new leaves in brilliant perspective. The sharpness and clarity is flawless with the plumage well exposed. Well done and best regards. Jusni
