| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I took this (just as I assume that every other keen photographer on the planet did) on the evening of the eclipse. I swear: if you had told me a few years ago that I would have been sat outside, in the dark and freezing my behind off, fiddling with a camera, to take pictures of the moon...how things change :-)
For once, when I really needed it, the mancunian/british weather worked with me instead of against me, with clear skies and just a hint of clouds here and there: I hope you like the final result. Nothing done to the pic except cropping and a frame.
All comments welcome.
Thanx,
Igor |

Hi Igor,
A very beautiful photo. Great details and well framed. I like the wonderful colours of your shot and specially the two stars (or planets - maybe Venus for one) on your photo.
Thanks for sharing,
Claude
Hi Igor.
Thankyou for your comments on my eclipse shot. Once the moon dulled off I think most of us run into softness with slow shutter speeds. Need our cameras latched to a telescope with a tracker.
You did good, lovely colour and enough detail, nice composition setting it off to the right of the frame.
Wonderful

This is great Igor, super composition and i like the couple of stars as a bonus. Lovely blood red colour on the Moon itself and and Kathleen says, enough detail.
The British weather has never been this kind to me...you can guarantee a cloudy night in the south if there's anything worth looking at above!
Paul
Hello Igor,
I'm awfully sorry it was only this morning that I chanced upon your critique on my picture of monsoon clouds taken from a plane in July this year.
Thanks for your kind words.
Please do accept my belated welcome to TN.
Coming to your picture of the moon and your note on it, you struck a chord. When I purchased my first DSLR in Jan this year, the first thing I shot was the full moon seen from the roof of my house in Riyadh! I did not post it because it turned out to be all blue!!
I like your picture of the moon very much. You have done a wonderful job with long exposure, using a tripod. The first look confirms it is not a cherry we are looking at; it is a celestial body alright. The details on the moon's surface are impressive, to say the least.
Keep shooting and all the best.
Regards,
Ram
