Coot chick.

I was having a birthday trip out to Mere Sands Wood reserve near Southport having had a good report of Kingfishers showing well. We set up the gear in a hide where I had previously seen them fishing and settled for a wait. This little chap and his (her?) mum came passed and gave us the opportunity of a picture or two. It is quite amazing how the face colour changes to pure white as the chick reaches adulthood.
Camera settings:-

This is a good shot of the Coot chck Peter. Happy Birthday for last month! I like the POV as they look interesting in profile and you have caught the hairy detail and colouring on the head, Good catch light on the eye. All makes a good composition.
