[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
To continue the season of mellow fruitfulness- Tremiscus helvelloides (also known as Phlogiotis helvelloides) taken during a a recent forest walk.
The fruit body is irregularly spatulate to funnel shaped, bright orange with a pink hue, soft and jelly-like. Grows to 2-6cm in diameter and up to 10cm high.
Usually found in clumps on dead or decaying wood or on the ground preferring path fringes (where this specimen was found) in coniferous forests frequently at higher altitudes.
Rare in this part of Yorkshire, we stumbled across this specimen and were later excited to realise we'd recorded only the second location within the district.

A very nice-looking fungi ! I love the nice warm colors and the texture of the mushroom, he seems to be very soft. Good sharpness and good details, too. Great job !
