[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
just back from a long weekend at Strensal, spent a couple of days watching this kingfisher to get to know its routine, had it worked out that it mostly frequented a certain tree, and when it dove for a fish it went straight down. Setting up my gear I waited, after two hours along he came toook quite a few shots when he was sitting, then waited for him to dive in the posistion he normally did, down he went, three yards from his normal place, and went off with his catch to another bush. Planning dosnt always get the results you wanted. I used my canon, 75-300mm lens with a 2x converter. Was advised to show this photo hear rather than trekearth

Hi Alan,
i'm impressed by your dedication to get this one shot! I've only ever seen fleeting glimpses of these beautiful birds so to get this took some doing. I'd say your planning paid off!
I like the setting amongst the trees here, your POV and the colours look good too. There's a little bit of noise but nothing that couldn't be fixed easiily enough. Well done and welcome to TN!
tfs
Paul
