[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a male Common Damselfly (Enallagma cyathigerum), he's in a bit of trouble here. When I found him he had got his wings stuck on the (meniscus) surface of the water, no matter how he tried he was unable to drag him self out of the water dispite the fact that he had hold of a good piece of grass. Having taken a few pictures I lifted him out and sat him in the wooden fishing platform to dry out.Taken at the ex gravel pits at the far end of the national water sports centre here in nottingham, I had gone back to repeat some shots i had lost in transfering them to the comp. The last I saw of him he was starting to flex his wings into place.

This is super, Robert. Love those delta wings, it really makes him look so much more elegant than the straight wings.

Incredible, Robert. The only thing I would like is a trout passing under the scene. Congraulations.
