Well I think it is Mycena inclinata one of the Bonnet fungus, it was the closest I could find in appearance though the place of growth is a little different . It is surposed to be a wood land fungi growing on stumps. These are in a grass lawn alright it is mainly moss as you can see, but it is next to a private hedge and the other side of that are some old fruit trees . I presume they are growing on an old dead root comming through under the hedge.
The tallest of them is only 50mm so you can see they are a very delicate
ly built.
taken on a very dull damp day as you can see from the water droplets on the odd bit of grass.

Nice picture Rob with a good perspective. Good colours and composition. I have ID'd a couple of pictures of mine as M. inclinata, my ones are on an old oak stump, they look similar to this but have a darker stem? Anyway, I will post in the next day or two.

The light you capture is always breathtaking. You handle it to perfection. Lovely detaile of these little ones. The spider web gets you extra credit in my book. :)

Magic light, really.

Excelent capture of these fungi.
I like the light gives a calming mood. Spider web adds tothis composition

Well done

Mike

Hello Rob. This is really shooting in deep nature. Wet all over, super green grass and fresh droplets. A very good atmospheric shot where fungi appear as a sort of giant parasols. Just a detail, but I would have preferred a full green background (without leaves). ID: I checked and confirm it is a Mycena Inclinata, quite common, growing in groups on old stumps, generally oaks. Edible but without value. Perhaps you should get other ones for a mushroom omelet:-)

Fantastic perspective Rob on this shot. Good use of DOF and fine details.

tous simplement parfais !
les champignons , la mousse , l'herbe, les gouttes d'eau...tous est tres bien agencé..les couleurs sont belle et la pdc tres bonne.
good job.

Very nice picture Rob.
Good light and composition, very nice colours and good details.
Great note as usual.

Real fairy tales picture. I like composition, softness of BG, perfect green. Poster-picture in my opinion, great work Rob!

This is a nice shot Robb, There are so many fungi like this that theyre the hardest to ID.
Beautiful feel to this shot though.Choice!

Robert, Sometimes I run out of new things to say here. That's when I ask the boss, (the wife) her opinion of the shot! SHE SAYS that it reminds her of a little smerf city with all the other fungi visible in your BG. Go figure!! Great post!! Points tommorrow :-(

Excellent picture considering their size. Lovely focus. Interesting notes.
Congratulations

A great use of DOF with an exellent POV,nicely done,Robert, the result with this soft light and harmonic contrast and colors is admirable, good info, too, well composed and I like it a lot.
