| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Tarzetta cupularis formally known as (Pustularia cupularis), this small cup formed fungus 1-2 cm across is to be found in woodland situations, normally broad leafed or mixed woodland, some times in pure conifer woods, this pair are growing on the roots of Hazel bushes (Corylus avellana) wich are in the tree growing area of the Nursery I run.
A fungus that can be found from April though to Autumn and as we have only just had our 1st frost these are out in November. They are quiet old because the rims are splitting apart, when younger they form a small goblet formed cup with little spikey edges.
This image is the only one of about 100 shots taken the rest were out of focus on the subject, I think the camera is in need of looking at at this seems to be happening more and more in macro mode. even with the camera resting on the ground and using my hand held above the subject as a focusing point.
Hope it looks OK |

A nice image, good composition and colors. Macro is so frustrating, I only get one of a 100 that looks good to me too!

Hola Robert, estupenda foto, excelente composicion y punto de vista. Quizas tenga un poco saturado el color azul, he hecho una version "calida" a ver que te parece.
Un saludo de circe.
