[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Well finally I have a definate identiefication on this large Grasshopper which till know I have been refering to as a Locust is now positively named as Egyptian Grasshopper Anacridium aegyptium still makes this a rarity in the UK
, and probably imprted with plants from italy like I 1st thought , when I found it as an imature hopper with no wings and posted it to TN as Unkown Large Grass Hopper?. Now at 60mm+ long with a full set of wings well able to fly when disturbed and upto working temperature, some thing it is find more difficult now that autumn has arrived in the UK. as you can see though this was a warm sunny morning so it was up a red stem getting warmed up.
Taken in Raw and converted to Tiff in Rawshooter
Opened,cropped @600 X 800px @72dpi and sharpened in PhotoShop (CS)
Save As to reduce the file size and preserve the Exif file with shooting details.

Hello Robert,
This is a macro with all the necessary attributes to make it good, including the diagonal comp. Interesting to note that you kept and fed it till it matured. If you did that in Egypt you might have been regarded as a nutcase, but I'm glad you sent us a photo of it as an adult.
