A rare chance for me to get time to post an image.
This very small form of Ink cap 1cm high is an infequently seen fungus is found here growing on it's favourite medium old horse dung which had been piled at the of a field at work. It will soon strech upwards on a very thin stem upto 9cm tall and the cap expand to 1.5-3cm wide but not normally staying as a disc but splitting as it flatterns out and eventually dishes upward before liquifying like most of the Ink caps.
Taken on a very dull day infact rain was starting to fall as I took the shots of it, but i did not want to us flash to light it because of the differance in constrast of the white subject and the dark growing medium.
Taken in Raw and converted to Tiff transfered to Photoshop to crop, sharpen and convert to Jpeg, in the hope you like it. |
