Lovely shot of these mating toads (Bufo bufo) in embracing (in scientific statements: amplexus) with superb DOF, lighting and composition. The dwarf male seems to be tired :-).

Hello Dear Joey, I smiled once more at your picture, who but Joey would bring us this picture?!!! It is very well captured with great sharpness and dof, the colours are superb and it is most interesting. We started hearing the toads last night. It was their first night of chorus here! There is a lot of longing in their voices as they haven't been mating for a looooong time! Thanks,

Hi Joe.
Excellent use of so long macro lens system. I like your superb flash work, wonderful lowest POV and wide DOF. You managed to fill up in focus all heavy construction (two busy animals). Sharpness is terrific and smooth impressive BG is fine too. My compliments and TFS.

Ha! A fine pair in the height of an amplexus Joe, the male looks quite spent but the female is still expectant. The lateral POV shows the pair in great detail and all around focus, the colours quite natural. Thanks for sharing this macro-scene my friend.

Wonderful control of the flash exposure on these tangled toads in the amplexus mode, the side profile shows these humpers off very well. You could create a book on Kama Sutra for toads and with as many toads there are in the world you would be rich...er... I mean wealthy with all the flies they paid you with. TFS
