If you got any closer the bird would have to have been tranquilized. fine close in shot Joey. Very sharp with nicely done feathers. Almost as if it had been to the stylist before being photographed. And a nice dedication. Very well done...

You amaze me with your ultra close-ups. This Chaffinch with the seeds in his mouth is absolutely beautiful. Colors are magnificent - details are razor sharp. Face, eye and plummage are perfect. By the way, I followed your instructions and I think the results are MUCH better. If I can find the time I'll redo the pictures I plan to post. I thank you.

Hi Joe,
Excellent exposure, color, and details with the head/eye clear & sharp.
Nice complimentary colors in your BG..Looks great even at ISO 800.
I would suggest zooming in more closely & using the patch tool to outline your subject more closely when sharpening and/or reducing BG noise. I see a FAINT amount of noise remaining near/around the bird on my monitor.
