Hi Vic
Finally we see this amazing series that we talked about on the forum...and it was worth all that talk, since it's a terrific one!
You managed a great set of photos, full of sharp details taken at excellent timing apart.
The exposure is spot-on and it reproduces the natural colors well, while the DOF is well managed and keeps both of them is great focus.
The last shot is simply outstanding...your timing catching him with all 4 legs off the ground and with that blur effect emphasizing the power of the thrust...it's just magnificent!
Wonderful work!
Bravo and TFS

Hi Vic,
Excellent series of shots here, glad you decided to post them in the end. Great job on the exposure, you've got some good sharp detail despite it looking like it was probably an overcast day? The last shot is the icing on the cake, so very well timed and show here. The slight blur adds to the impression of power from the Stag. Great stuff.

(i did see the signs for the culling on Saturday. Sad but necessary)

Bonito documento típico de esta época del año. Buen enfoque en todas las tomas y unos colores reales.
Excelente Vic.

A well captured sequence. A set of three, leaving out either shot two or three, and placed in a row would also be an interesting presentation of this event.
I swear that Stag is grinnng in the last shot!

Vic
Excellente série. On peut dire que le mâle met du "coeur" à l'ouvrage et que la femelle parait bien ...passive.belle réalisation.

Hi Vic,
outstandingly well recorded sequence under apparent low light conditions. Amazing to witness the amount of passion shown in the act. The ultimately passionate pose caught in the final shot is amazing. Great series. Thank you!
With best regards,
Peter

Hi Vic,
I'm glad you decided to post this after all.
Certainly does show the mechanics of the mating process thoroughly.
A very interesting series of shots.
Well captured.
Cheers

Very interesting sequence.
The last pic is simply amazing.
If the last pic would have been posted alone the missing antler would have been a nit (a vertical composition would have then be more appropriate.
In such a serie nevertheless, the missing antlers is no problem. We see them on the other pics, also zooming out would have been a loss in details. Really, you did great.
