Superb picture of this cute robin. Good POV, DOF and sharpness. I like the pose of the bird. Good light and very nice natural colours. Hope you will have sun soon. Here it was warm yesterday, but today it rains and the cold weather come back the whole week.

Hi Karan, it came out very well, you are right, and it is so beautiful. I pity birds more when it is raining and the weather is cool than when they are in full snow. The humidity must be the worst. Very nice, I like the focus placed on the eye, this big dark eye, as if we could see in its soul window. Thank you,

Splendid shot of this beautiful Robin and you are really lucky to have got a perfect shot at that shutter speed. These things make all of us happy, isn't it, when we see the result on computer. Nice colours and sharpness with very skilful handling of light and exposure. Graet pose captured with fine DOF and POV. Very nicely composed too. Kudos.

I bet you were ready to kill that woman! Your one shot was wonderful and you must be happy about that. This cute little robin looks so forlorn. The pose is wonderful. Nice details and lovely colors in spite of the bad lighting.

Incredible sharpness for 1/30 thanks to a super-steady hand and the excellent image stabilisation in the 100-400.
Great colours that are well saturated but natural.
Nice composition as well.
That's why nature photography is nearly always a solo thing, other people scare everything off :-)

WOW ! with only 1/30 seconds of shutter speed you get
this superb image with great sharpness and details,
not having image stabiliser i can't never shoot
with as a slow shutter speed,
excellent POV and framing, excellent DOF, TFS

at least you managed to get out and get something this weekend...it just rained and rained in Bournemouth!
Anyway, you did really well here. Perfect composition and DOF, the red of his feathers sticks out even more in the grim grey surroundings. Good POV too, well done.

Indeed this is TRUELY a lovely portrait of the European Robin.
Our Robins are far too large & clumsy; this species is a true joy to see, specially in a photo as this one.

P.S. This was a "WELCOME VISITOR" on our front porch in Calgary. This is a MALE & it was singing like a virtual nightingale inspite of the freezing COLD and snow. It's song drew our attention so, we decided to register this lovely occassion.
