You managed to capture this big eyed vole in a lovely pose in its natural environment. I really like the huge almost squint eyes, and the clear visibility and detail of the paws is really amazing. Looks like the weather in whole Western Europe is the same S............At the moment it's still snowing overhere in The Netherlands and temperatures are below zero celcius.

The weather here is the same as in England. More Winter than Spring.

What a plump little Vole!
You've captured a classic pose and the eye-contact is fab!
Sharp with great detail and clarity.
Nice composition as well.
I like the slight ripples in water.
I'd love to have a go at photographing these little Voles. It would be another creature on my list of British wildlife. I have set myself the target of photographing all the major British animals by the time I'm 30 (I don't know how I'm going to do it though!) :-)

Hello Karan,

You have photographed some very interesting animals and this is definitely one of them. He is displaying a wonderful furry coat and immense whiskers, sharply captured for our pleasure!
I always find voles a little comical, possibly because their hands are so human and quite unlike the rest of the body.
